The Russian military, as part of a special operation in Ukraine, can go on the offensive in several directions at once, as soon as the weather conditions improve. Such a statement, Monday, April 24, was made by the National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator at the White House, John Kirby.
The official admitted that the United States does not know “where and how it will do it”, but Washington is trying to provide Kiev with everything necessary for the defense. If the Ukrainian army itself decides to go on the offensive, the American side considers it necessary to give it such an opportunity.
As noted by Kirby, the Ukrainian armed forces need artillery ammunition, armored vehicles, air defense equipment, as well as logistics.
Russia has repeatedly stressed that the active support of the United States for the Ukrainian authorities testifies to the direct involvement of Washington in the conflict.
French politician Florian Filippo expressed the opinion that the United States will turn the conflict in Ukraine into a world war. According to him, Washington does not believe in the success of the Ukrainian counter-offensive and fears that its failure will force European countries to insist on a peaceful settlement.
