China has announced that it has drawn up a blueprint for the development of deep space exploration that includes exploration of the moon, asteroids, comets, and other planets in our solar system. Wu Yanhua, chief designer of the project, said at the International Conference on Deep Space Exploration that China will launch the relay satellite. "Qiuqiao-2" or "Magpie Bridge-2"and the Chang’e-6 probe in 2024 to collect samples from the far side of the moon and return them to Earth. He added that China plans to launch the Chang’e-7 probe in 2026 to carry out resource exploration of the lunar south pole, and launch the Chang’e-8 probe in 2028 to build the basic model of the International Lunar Research Station. China also plans to launch the Tianwen-2 mission in 2025 to collect samples from a near-Earth asteroid and explore the main belt comet. He noted that China plans to launch the Tianwen-3 mission in 2030 to collect samples from Mars, and launch the Tianwen-4 mission in 2030 to explore the Jovian system and Uranus. It is worth noting that in the past 20 years, China has successfully implemented a three-step lunar exploration program and achieved sending a probe into orbit, landing and roving on Mars in one mission.
