The Kremlin welcomes the telephone conversation between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as any action that could bring peace in Ukraine closer to the goals of the special military operation. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“We are ready to welcome anything that can bring the end of the conflict in Ukraine closer and Russia’s achievement of all its goals. As for the very fact of communication, this is the sovereign issue of each of these countries and the stakes of their bilateral dialogue,” Peskov told reporters.
Xi Jinping had a phone conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on April 26, China Central Television reported. After that, the Chinese leader announced that he would send his representative to Ukraine and other countries for consultations on a settlement.
