The first temporary plane carrying Chinese citizens evacuated from Sudan arrived in Beijing on the morning of 29 April. By now, most of the Chinese citizens have left Sudan. After a flight of about 10 hours, the Chinese citizens returned to the motherland peacefully. He said that he felt very relieved as soon as he stepped on the Chinese soil. Chinese people helped each other while leaving Sudan. The country’s strength and prosperity is the strongest foundation for Chinese people living and working overseas.The first makeshift flight departed from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, carrying 343 Chinese nationals. They include employees of Chinese enterprises and teachers of the Confucius Institute. Chang Khun, head of the Consular Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said Chinese citizens leaving Sudan returned to the country by plane after land and sea transfers. The journey was very difficult. It is said that by now most of the Chinese citizens have left Sudan.
