Indian-origin man found guilty of killing 3 teens who pranked by ringing the doorbell

New York : An Indian-origin man in the US state of California has been found guilty of killing three teenagers who pranked him by ringing the doorbell of his house. This information was received from a news in the media. Riverside County resident Anurag Chandra pleaded guilty on Friday to three counts of attempted murder and three counts of murder, the New York Post reported.

The news said that the incident took place on January 19, 2020, when a group of teenagers rang Chandra’s house bell while playing a prank. Chandra told that a teenager had teased him before running away by ringing the bell. He crushed all three teenagers to death with his car. It has been said in the news that all three teenagers of 16 years were killed in this incident. Chandra was drunk on the day the accident took place.

He said he was ‘extremely disturbed’ by the prank and claimed he was worried about his family’s safety. He chased the mischievous boys and rammed their car off the road. Chandra also stated that he did not stop after hitting the car from behind because he felt that no one was injured. The news said that two 13-year-old passengers including an 18-year-old driver survived the accident. Chandra is already facing charges in connection with a domestic violence incident in 2020 prior to this accident.
