The head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, has threatened Russia with strikes on nuclear power plants. In an interview with The Atlantic, he said it would be the Special Operation finale.
“Suppose something happens to a hydroelectric or nuclear plant, there will be risks for the population, and it will require immediate attention from the government, the accumulation of resources, including the military. And in this way, they could explain people why they are ending active hostilities in Ukraine,” a representative of the Kiev authorities said.
According to Reznikov, a man-made disaster will be the reason for the cessation of active hostilities. At the same time, he remains silent about the fact that such a step is dangerous not only for Russians, but also for the same Ukrainians and residents of other neighboring states.
Earlier, military expert Mikhail Timoshenko said that nuclear reactors can withstand a plane crash, so they cannot be destroyed by drones. APU attacks against Russian nuclear power plants can only damage workshops.
