The Ukrainian Armed Forces (APU) drone that exploded over the Kremlin could have been destroyed at the last moment. This point of view is shared by many Russian war correspondents.
According to military commander Alexander Kots, who posted footage of the Kremlin strike, the unmanned aerial vehicle could have been eliminated at the last moment. He also did not rule out the possibility of a spontaneous drone explosion.
- The time of arrival of the drone in the Kremlin. Looks like he was shot at the very last moment. Or he blew himself up, writes Kots.
Military Commissar German Kulikovsky also admitted the drone was shot down as it approached the presidential residence.
“Maybe they shot down the arrows at the last moment, or maybe the explosion was done above the object in order to intensify the defeat by the fragmentation element. At least one blast of air is most preferable for defeating manpower,” he wrote.
As a result of the attack, the dome of the Senate Palace caught fire. Both drones were shot down using radar warfare. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
At the time of the strike, Vladimir Putin was not in the Kremlin, but in a residence near Moscow in Novo-Ogaryovo. Russia viewed the incident as an assassination attempt on the president and reserved the right to respond.
