Earthquake tremors felt in Yunnan, southwest China, magnitude 5.2

Kunming: Earthquake tremors were felt in Baoshan city of Yunnan province of China. Local authorities have activated Level 3 emergency services and sent rescue teams to the disaster area. He told that the intensity of the earthquake was measured at 5.2 on the Richter scale and three people were injured in the earthquake. According to a local report, the earthquake occurred in Longyang district of Baoshan at 11:27 pm on Tuesday night. Three people suffered minor injuries in the earthquake and were sent to the hospital for treatment. The earthquake caused damage to residential houses, water, electricity, traffic, communication and other infrastructure in the epicenter and its surrounding areas, Zhang Yunyi, the vice mayor of Baoshan, said at a news conference held on Wednesday morning.
