RuNews24 presented a selection of the most climatically dangerous places in the world where people still continue to live, despite the heat, drought and much more.
The first place on the list is Death Valley, located in the United States. The temperature maximum there was captured in 1913, when the air temperature reached 56.7 degrees Celsius.
The next one is Utta in Russia. In this abnormally hot village in Kalmykia, people still continue to live, however, up to 700 people.
The danger lies in Cappadocia in Turkey. The dwellings there were made of soft volcanic rock. Now up to 2.5 thousand people live there.
People also live in the rainiest city in the world – this is Cherrapunji in India, where more than 12 thousand millimeters of precipitation falls per year. The anomalies do not frighten the inhabitants of the sheer cliff of the sacred mountain Hengshan in the Shanxi province in China. This place is called Xuankong-si. Everything rests on stilts.
Unsafe above 5000 meters in the Alps. People live there above the sea, despite the harsh climate and heavy air. The driest place is San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. Dangerous cliff houses are popular for living in Setenil de las Bodegas in Spain.
Almost on the volcano live the settlers of Java in Indonesia. Residents of Longyearbyen in Norway risk being near a bear. The Principality of Sealand completes the list.
