Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Zakharova spoke about the regime of silence in relations between Moscow and Paris

Relations between Russia and France happen in silence. The initiator of the effective cancellation of bilateral contacts was Paris, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

“Until recently, we had intensive and exceptionally trusting contacts, almost completely canceled on the initiative of the French side,” the diplomat said in a statement.

According to her, the embassies of the two states are continuing their work, but the countries have practically no longer maintained contact. The total silence regime was introduced exclusively on the initiative of France, Zakharova stressed.

Earlier, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna called on the international community to start organizing a peaceful dialogue to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
