A resident of the city of Yeysk in the Krasnodar Territory died in an explosion in his own car, where he barricaded himself after being stopped by traffic police. About what happened reported in his telegram channel, the head of the Yeysk district, Roman Bublik, who himself went to the scene.
According to him, the driver of Niva was in an inadequate state and refused to comply with the demands of traffic officers, instead getting stuck in the car.
“No one other than him was injured. Nothing threatened the safety of the inhabitants of our area and does not threaten. Traffic is blocked, the area is cordoned off, everyone is evacuated, psychologists, employees of the Russian Interior Ministry of the Yeisk district and the Krasnodar Territory Federal Security Service, the rescue service, an ambulance are working at the scene,” Bublik wrote.
He also has urged residents of Yeysk and the Yeysk district “remain calm and trust only information received from official services”, as other information “may be false and used by intruders to create social destabilization”.
Edition of Krasnodar 93.ru clarifies that the “Niva” was arrested on the morning of May 6 on Michurin Street and remained there for several hours. All the while, the driver refused to leave the car and threatened the traffic police, and also demanded a meeting with his mother. An OMON detachment arrived on the scene. The man’s mother arrived and tried to persuade him to come out, but he refused.
Around 3:00 p.m. inhabitants reported on the Yeysk Flea Market telegraph channel they heard the sound of an explosion. Subsequently, the Kub Mash telegram channel clarified that the driver was called Roman, he was 34 years old. During the explosion, which the channel said occurred during the assault on the car, two OMON officers received a shell shock.
