The Russian leader’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko did not attend an informal breakfast on May 9 at the Kremlin due to the need for him to leave for Minsk for events.

“He had Victory Day events in Minsk, so he had to leave as soon as possible,” Peskov said.

He also commented on questions about the connection between this and Lukashenko’s health condition, saying it would be incorrect to talk about it.

In addition, Peskov expressed his gratitude to the Belarusian President for his participation in the celebration of Victory Day.

Earlier it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with colleagues from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, laid wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden in Moscow.
