Former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin, said that as a result of the counter-offensive, the Ukrainian armed forces would lose hundreds of thousands of their best soldiers. He also called the Ukrainian army offensive a “desperate cause”.
“It’s a lost cause, because the losses will be huge,” he said on his YouTube channel.
Soskin also stressed that the counteroffensive planned by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would not be successful. According to him, such actions are “a ritual sacrifice of Ukrainians”.
The day before, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Kuleba, admitted that he did not know how the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army would unfold.
