Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed a new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the country to the Netherlands. The corresponding document was published on the Ukrainian President’s website.
“To appoint Alexander Karasevich Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands,” the statement read.
It is specified that the predecessor of the newly appointed ambassador since 2021 was Maxim Kononenko, who previously held the post of Minister-Counsellor of the Ukrainian Embassy of Ukraine in France. In addition, he headed departments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The reasons for this change of ambassador are not mentioned.
Earlier it became known that Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed sexologist Olesya Ilashchuk, who has no experience in diplomatic activity, as Ukraine’s ambassador to Bulgaria.
