Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Marine Le Pen’s niece criticized Paris for arms deliveries to Ukraine

The vice-president of France’s right-wing Reconquest party, Marion Maréchal, who is Marine Le Pen’s niece, has spoken out against Paris supplying arms to Ukraine. She told LCI television that anyone who supplies weapons is also unwittingly participating in the conflict.

“Yes, absolutely, because it contributes to the escalation of the conflict and to joining one of its camps, which prevents France from being a balancing actor and from participating in the search for a solution to the conflict through dialogue,” Marshal said.

She stressed that, in general, France’s role in the Ukrainian crisis should be completely different. The country must insist on dialogue, seek new avenues for it and help initiate negotiations between the parties.

However, until now, the French authorities have not stopped supplying Ukraine with weapons. Thus, at the end of March, the number of shells supplied doubled. This was announced on March 28 by French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
