One of the Patriot air defense systems delivered to Kiev was damaged during a night strike on Kiev. This was reported by CNN in reference to an unnamed US administration representative.
According to preliminary information, the system is damaged, the United States assesses the damage.
“It remains to be determined whether the system should be completely shut down or simply repaired on site,” reports the television channel.
The Russian Ministry of Defense on Tuesday reported air and sea missiles inflicted at night on the points of deployment of Ukrainian militant units, as well as on the places of storage of ammunition, weapons and equipment, including Western manufacturing. All designated targets, including the US Patriot air defense system, were hit, the agency said.
