Truck collides with passenger van in America, 7 killed, 4 injured

San Francisco: Seven people were killed and four others injured after a truck rammed into a passenger van in the US state of Oregon. Oregon state police said Friday that 52-year-old California truck driver Lincoln Clayton Smith was driving a truck Thursday afternoon when he rammed a passenger van carrying 11 people on I-5 about 10 miles (16 km) north of Albany. bumped into In the accident, six people traveling in the van died on the spot.

The seventh victim was taken to the hospital but he too could not be saved. Four other occupants of the van were injured and were taken to hospital for treatment. Truck driver Smith was not injured in the accident. He is arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail. He has also been charged with reckless driving and third-degree assault, in addition to seven counts of drunk driving and murder.
