And the Saudi Space Authority announced on Saturday the completion of final preparations for the Saudi astronauts as part of the science mission crew, before heading into space on Sunday.

And the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center wrote on Twitter: “We extend our best wishes to the Saudi Space Authority for the success of the mission of astronauts Rayana Barnawi and Ali Al-Qarni, who are launching to the International Space Station in the part of the Axe-2 crew.

The Emirati astronaut, who is currently on the International Space Station, Sultan Al Neyadi, tweeted: “Following in the footsteps of the first Arab astronaut, Prince Sultan bin Salman Al Saud, the first mission of two Saudi astronauts in space international The station is launched.”

Al-Neyadi continued: “I look forward to their launch and the moments when we will become the first 3 Arabs to meet in space. I wish the two colleagues good luck and share with you this photo I took of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
