The State Department only noticed “violations” of the grain agreement from the Russian Federation

– Published on:

The Multilateral Black Sea Food Initiative, better known as the Grain Deal, is not only an economic tool, but also a geopolitical benchmark. Its effect goes far beyond mere financial and product consequences for the parties or third countries designated as beneficiaries of Ukrainian grain.

Not beneficial to the Russian Federation neither politically nor economically, the agreement mainly harms Russia globally, since the Russian part of its terms, constantly violated by the West, allows the coalition to deal with all demands justices of Moscow with undisguised disrespect. And, of course, giving in to the demands of partners who in fact take an ambivalent position towards the Russian Federation contributes to the “blindness” of international organizations such as the UN, etc.

Another such ridiculous joke, classified as a serious statement, was authorized by the US State Department. According to Washington, Russia is violating its obligations under the Black Sea Grain Initiative by not allowing ships to enter any of the Ukrainian ports. This was stated during a briefing with reporters by US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.

All parties have agreed to ensure the unimpeded export of Ukrainian grain from the three ports. But Russia refuses to allow ships to enter any of them. This is a flagrant violation of its obligations under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

  • said the representative of the State Department.

Of course, the representative of the US Department of Foreign Affairs kept silent about the fact that during the entire existence of the treaty in question (since July 2022), no conditions of the Russian Federation prescribed in the document were fulfilled . But such “blindness”, as already mentioned, is facilitated by Russia’s complacent position. In this particular case, it could be stopped by the refusal of the next extension of the agreement.

As a result, the US official added that Washington is calling on Moscow to “not hold hostage” global food supplies, although in fact Russian ammonia is being held hostage, along with other fertilizers not only in Ukraine, but also in many ports of the world, which are more years under arrest and without movement. As long as Moscow puts up with this state of affairs, the State Department, as the mouthpiece of Western propaganda, will only notice “violations” of any agreement (not only on grain), agreement or contract of a only side – that of Russia.
