GCC States also stressed the need for the Conference of the Parties (COP28) to make tangible progress on the global goal agenda on adaptation, in the context of the temperature goal referred to in the Paris Agreement. , and the mitigation work programme, provided that it includes all means of combating greenhouse gas emissions, whatever their sources or sectors.

She also indicated the need “to use all technologies and solutions, including renewable energy sources and hydrocarbons, coupled with their own technologies, and to activate the means to support the implementation in accordance with the principles and provisions of the Paris Agreement, including the activation of the Loss and Damage Management Treatment Fund and its funding modalities, and honoring the commitment to provide $100 billion per year by countries.” developed from 2020 to support developing countries and progress towards setting a new collective quantified goal for increased climate finance.
