Iran's president reveals 9 nuclear achievements

Dubai, UAE / TEH: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi revealed, on Saturday, 9 new achievements in the field of nuclear energy.

This came in a speech delivered by Raisi during a visit to the Nuclear Achievements Exhibition, on the occasion of the National Day of Nuclear Technology.

The Iranian president said that his country’s government “supports research and studies in the field of the peaceful nuclear industry,” according to the local IRNA news agency.

The new nuclear achievements include 3 in the field of radiopharmaceuticals, 2 in plasma, and 4 in industrial, laser, control and imaging systems, according to the same source.

He pointed out that “the pace of research and studies in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy in the country has accelerated well.”

The Iranian president described these developments as “an indicator of self-confidence and reliance on internal capabilities.”

He added, “Reliance on Iranian youth and scholars and jihadist work is a model that has always proven successful, and we must move in this direction in other fields as well.”

“My country will not mortgage research in the peaceful nuclear fields to the wishes and opinions of others,” he added.


Raisi also revealed the strategic document for the nuclear industry for the next 20 years, according to the same source.

In a related context, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced, during the exhibition, its three strategic plans, which are to “produce 10,000 megawatts of electricity using nuclear energy, develop the use of radiation, and build a local nuclear power plant to generate electricity with a capacity of 360,000 megawatts in the village of Darkhoin in Khuzestan Province.” southwest of the country.
