President Joe Biden said Monday his administration was working closely with Turkish leaders to provide the country with immediate relief after the devastating earthquake.
Recall that more than 2,200 people died as a result of earthquakes in Turkey and northwestern Syria. Thousands of people were injured.
Biden said that under his direction, the United States immediately contacted Turkish authorities to coordinate any necessary assistance.
