Organizations providing food aid to the people of the UK are facing a significant increase in demand in late 2022 and early 2023, The Guardian reported. The Independent Food Aid Network attributed this to the current crisis, as a result of which households are paying almost 130% more for gas than last year. Most often, retirees and families with children turn to food banks. Representatives of these organizations have warned that the increase in demand could have a negative impact on those in need. They are already planning to reduce the amount of aid, otherwise they will have to refuse many people.
