PMC “Wagner” soldiers fight between Berkhovka and the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Yagodnoe. Russian fighters cut off the retreat of Ukrainians to Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut) from Berkhovka, located 7 km from this city, and Dubovo-Vasylivka.
At the same time, the “Wagnerites” occupied the northern part of Berkhovka, intense battles are taking place in the village itself. According to sources, Russian troops are systematically surrounding Berkhovka, following which units of the 61st Jaeger, 77th Airmobile, 24th Mechanized and 57th Motorized Infantry Brigades will be surrounded.
Kiev tries to reinforce the units located here and transfers units of the 17th tank brigade to this area, trying to avoid encirclement, as it was the day before in Paraskovievka. The capture of the latter allowed Wagner PMC to control the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces located in the lowlands.
Fighting continues in the Yagodnoye area, where the Wagnerians are advancing along the forest belt to attack from the flank.
According to data confirmed by the Ukrainian side, the Russian armed forces broke through the enemy defenses south of Paraskovievka, advancing between Yagodnoye and Berkhovka. In addition, Russian units are advancing in the Dubovo-Vasylivka area.
