The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the United Nations, represented by the General Secretariat and its subsidiary organs, signed today in Doha an administrative arrangement agreement for the establishment of the United Nations House in the State of Qatar, which would regulate the administrative issues of the United Nations House so that UN offices could start their work at the headquarters.
The agreement was signed on the part of the State of Qatar by HE Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, and from the United Nations representatives of the General Secretariat, offices and subsidiary organs. The headquarters contributes to strengthening the partnership of the State of Qatar with the United Nations, specialized agencies and other organizations at the international multilateral level. It also focuses on the cooperation of the State of Qatar with the organization, and facilitates the attraction of more offices in the future.
