Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Expert Shurygin warned of the insidious tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive

Military expert Vladislav Shurygin warned that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ spring counteroffensive, which was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and promises to launch the Ukrainian command, will be insidious and sudden.

“Of course they will try to create a tactical surprise in the choice of strike sites,” the expert said in interview Portal “Military Affairs”.

Shurygin also believes that the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny will take it upon himself to ensure a numerical superiority of at least seven to one in the areas where the offensive is being carried out.

In addition, Shurygin stressed, in the very first hours of the counteroffensive, Ukraine will strike Russian headquarters, ammunition depots, fuel and lubricants to the maximum depth they are capable of. They will pursue the goal of creating “command and control paralysis and chaos in the rear”.

Shurygin is confident that the United States and NATO will provide technical assistance to Ukrainian intelligence in order to “open up” the military infrastructure of Russian forces in the offensive zone.

“NATO intelligence activity along our borders has peaked,” Shurygin noted. He added that, therefore, it is necessary to proceed from the fact that the entire military infrastructure of the RF Armed Forces will be marked on the staff maps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Shurygin also explained that Ukraine has now drastically reduced the number of strikes against Russian headquarters and warehouses, as it stockpiles ammunition for a “stunning and sudden strike”.
