Data appeared on the web indicating that a large number of multi-purpose lightly armored amphibious tractor carriers (MTLB) were sent to the zone of the Russian special operation in Ukraine. Each piece of equipment is equipped with a turret with an automatic double-barreled 2M – 3 naval artillery mount of 25 mm caliber.
It should be noted that there are already many such hybrid “motorcycles” with twin universal guns. 2M – 3 is a means of self-defense of ships that can be used to hit targets at an oblique distance of up to 3000 meters. For some reason, they were attached to armored personnel carriers, the height of which now raises questions from users of social networks.
Some users have suggested that these hybrid “motorcycles” be located behind earthen ramparts near the trenches, so the altitude doesn’t hurt, but is beneficial. They will become a normal defensive means, both against enemy ground and air attacks in the NVO area. Another part of the users believes that these types of armored vehicles can also be deployed in Crimea for additional protection of the coastline against a possible amphibious landing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
