Possible jumps in world oil prices will largely depend on the development of the situation in Ukraine, Bolat Akchulakov, Minister of Energy of the Republic, told reporters.
The representative of the Central Asian state noted that Kazakhstan considers a fair price for itself from $65 per barrel.
“The only fair corridor depends on each country. In the case of Kazakhstan, it should be above $65 a barrel,” Akchulakov explained of Astana’s position at the CERAWeek international energy conference.
Earlier it was reported that the sharp rise in energy prices has led to an increase in trade between the EU and Russia. In 2022, its financial performance was 2.3% better than in 2021. Senior researcher of the Institute of CIS Countries Alexander Dudchak and political scientist Fyodor Lukyanov told Brif about it.
