In an interview iReactor he noted that Britain is a serious adversary, as the country has a nuclear submarine fleet equipped with intercontinental ballistic missiles.
“As for conventional armed forces, it is true that in previous years they have not received as much attention as strategic naval forces. However, in the years to come we will see an increase in defense spending in Britain,” the expert added.
Korochenko reminded that Britain has joined the new AUKUS defense alliance and is a member of NATO. Russia should not be guided by such statements, but by its assessment of the capabilities of the British armed forces, he concluded.
