Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on reports in Western media about Russian authorities’ plans to take over Moldova by 2030. Kremlin official urged not to trust the jam information.
“I know nothing about the existence of such a plan, I do not exclude that it is some kind of other fake, many of which are now published in Western media,” RIA Novosti quotes Peskov .
He added that Russia has always been and remains open to establishing mutually beneficial good-neighbourly relations with Moldova. Peskov also regretted that the country’s current leadership is unjustly prejudiced against Moscow.
Earlier, the Norwegian site Rise published a document dated 2021, which allegedly describes Russia’s plans to absorb Moldova by 2030. The tasks of the Russian Federation, according to investigators, include a number of points .
Among them: the strengthening of pro-Russian feelings, the country’s involvement in the CSTO, the settlement of the “Transnistrian conflict” with the mediation of the Russian Federation on the basis of the special status of Transnistria, the opposition to the influence of NATO and the EU on Moldova, as well as the attribution of the Russian language “the status of the language of interethnic communication.”
