Georgetown University in Qatar, a Qatar Foundation partner university, held its annual dean’s reception at the Georgetown campus in Education City to honor the outstanding academic results of 207 students who have excelled in the past two academic terms. These hardworking students received certificates of appreciation for the promising results they achieved in the presence of faculty and staff who support their journey on the path to academic success. It is noteworthy that honoring academic excellence is an appreciation for students who have shown high commitment to their studies and exerted efforts in their academic tasks. During this year’s event, 124 students were awarded first class honors for achieving a GPA for the academic period of 3.9 or higher, while 83 students were awarded second class honors for achieving a GPA between 3.7 and 3.89. At the reception, Dr. Safwan Al-Masri, Dean of Georgetown University in Qatar, expressed his gratitude to the university’s faculty and staff who provide the comprehensive learning environment that students need to excel.
