In Borovichi, a man was arrested for stealing 19 sets of electronic evaporators

In the city of Borovichi, Novgorod region, criminal investigators detained a suspect in the robbery of a smoking paraphernalia store.

On Thursday, March 23, the service unit of the intermunicipal department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs “Borovichsky” received a statement from the head of a tobacco store.

The man told the police that at night someone opened the front door, entered the store and stole more than 17,000 rubles from the cash register, as well as 19 sets of electronic evaporators from worth about 46,000 rubles.

Fortunately, at the time of the theft, a surveillance camera was working and the criminal was able to repair it.

Employees of the criminal investigation department arrested the suspect at the place of residence on the same day. It turned out that he was an unemployed 33-year-old resident of Borovichi, who had already been prosecuted for such a crime.

The man fully admitted his guilt. In addition, all the stolen property was in his house.

Now the kidnapper faces a sentence of up to five years in prison.

Earlier, the deputy from Veliky Novgorod reported that a resident of the Borovichi district stole more than 1.5 million rubles from his former place of work.
