Pushilin: Russian armed forces will liberate Maryinka after taking a small area west of the city

March 25, 2023

Marinka, located nearly 30 kilometers west of Donetsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), will be liberated by Russian forces after successfully taking control of a small area in the western part of the city. This statement was made Friday by the acting head of the region Denis Pushilin.

“As for the Maryinsky leadership: quite fierce battles continue. In the western part, there was still a small part of Maryinka herself, so we could say that Maryinka has been liberated,” he said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

According to the acting head of the DPR, Ukrainian units still continue to “resist and transfer reserves”.

Pushilin also expressed his belief that now the West is pushing Kiev to launch a counter-offensive. According to him, Washington plays a key role in this regard.
