The German Foreign Ministry called Putin’s decision on nuclear weapons in Belarus an attempt to bully

– Published on:

The European State’s Foreign Ministry has commented on Russian President Putin’s decision on nuclear weapons in Belarus.

The German Foreign Ministry considers the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons on the territory of the Republic of Belarus as an attempt to intimidate Western countries. At the same time, German diplomats did not mention the fact that the FRG had nuclear weapons supplied by the United States.

“President Putin’s comparison with NATO nuclear sharing is misleading and cannot be used to justify Russia’s announced decision,” Welt said, citing the local foreign ministry.

A number of experts, including Westerners, believe Russia’s move is aimed at containing European states and the United States. The former are building their own military power, the latter are pushing for the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine.
