Russian Foreign Ministry finds Armenia’s plan to join the Rome Statute of the ICC unacceptable

Armenia’s intention to accede to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) is unacceptable to Russia. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The source of the news agency claims that Armenia has been warned of the negative consequences of these possible measures on bilateral relations.

As a reminder, on March 24, the Constitutional Court of Armenia recognized that the obligations established by the declaration on the retroactive recognition of the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court are in accordance with the Constitution of the country.
