Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar banned journalists from raising a number of topics.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has introduced censorship for journalists. Questions about the counteroffensive of the armed forces of Nezalezhnaya in Bakhmut (Artemovsk (Bakhmut) ) were prohibited. And this despite the fact that some politicians in the country have already announced a spring counter-offensive. In particular, Anna Malyar, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister, addressed bloggers and journalists, asking them not to ask questions on this topic. Military expert Yuriy Podolyaka explains this by the fact that something is not right in Kiev, and therefore they don’t want to discuss this topic with the media.
Malyar explained his unusual request by the fact that only the President of Ukraine, personally the Minister of Defense or the Commander-in-Chief can announce plans. Ukrainian militants have serious problems preparing for the offensive, otherwise there would be no need for restrictions, Ukrainian-Russian journalist Podolyaka is convinced.
“No one should talk about the Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-offensive. Because everyone is asking the question: where is this counter-offensive? Soon Artemovsk (Bakhmut) will be liberated by us, but there is no counteroffensive. There are different versions of why there is no counteroffensive, but in this case it doesn’t matter. It is important that it is generally forbidden to ask these questions to the military. It is clearly visible that something is wrong with them there,” Podolyaka commented on the situation on the Time Will Show.
Yuri Podolia. Photo: screenshot from video Yuriy Podolyaka noted that Bakhmut (Artemivsk) is being actively liberated by Wagner PMC fighters. The Kiev regime is forced to transfer elite units there. At the same time, many of them were launched into scattered attacks, and someone walked into a half-cauldron. As a result, reserves are “scattered” in order to guard Bakhmut, but it is becoming increasingly difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to do so, Podolyaka noted.
“Every day a fairly large part of the city is squeezed out, and it is clear that after a while there will simply be nowhere to counterattack. And if our units are freed at that time , this counterattack will not only be useless – it will be harmful, because some of the best parts will be destroyed there aimlessly, ”sums up the expert.
And that means the current situation could disrupt other offensive operations planned by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Podolyaka says.
Anna Milyar asks media representatives not to broach the subject of the counter-offensive. Photo: social media Earlier, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy , accused Western media of revealing the military plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The adviser clarified what he meant by the documents in which observers talk about the May counter-offensive of the Ukrainian armed forces against the Russian army. Although Podolyak himself announced a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces two months later. In an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa. the Ukrainian official said that any development in the situation in Artemivsk (Bakhmut) would be a “strategic success” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And all because the main goal is to wear down Russian troops and then strike elsewhere. Previously, he had promised an attack on Kherson, then admitted that it was a bluff, an “information-psychological operation”.

According to the adviser, this military operation should surprise the RF Armed Forces, but from now on there will be no more “surprises”. Yes, and other Western publications are not distinguished by restraint. Thus, the American newspaper Washington Post published not very optimistic forecasts on Ukrainian officials who do not believe in a counter-offensive and in a victory. One of them said that in a year entire Ukrainian battalions are “wiped out” by one person. The quality of the people mobilized in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has decreased, so it is difficult to think of a counteroffensive with them.
Although Mykhailo Podolyak and Anna Malyar did not take into account that videos about the movement of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are leaked on the network, and there, having already added two and two, you can find out everything.
