Lawyer reports ‘significant injury’ to Kara-Murza’s feet arrested*

March 29, 2023

A medical examination of arrested politician Vladimir Kara-Murza* revealed that he suffered from polyneuropathy – problems with the blood vessels in the feet of both legs. This was announced by Kara-Murza*’s lawyer, Vadim Prokhorov, whose speech was posted on SotaVision’s YouTube channel.
“If before he had vascular problems with one foot, now the examination shows significant vascular damage in both feet,” the defender said.
The survey was conducted on March 27. Prokhorov noted that polyneuropathy is included in the list of diseases that prevent serving a sentence. According to him, the lawyers intend to file a corresponding motion, as well as request medical documents confirming the diagnosis.
Prokhorov added that the court in the Kara-Murza * case “chooses the cosmic rhythm”. The examination of the case on the merits began on March 13, the next meeting is scheduled for March 31.
The meetings, which were supposed to be held on March 16 and 20, did not take place due to Kara-Murza’s deteriorating state of health, Prokhorov reported earlier. The lawyer linked the exacerbation of the politician’s neuropathy to his poisonings in 2015 and 2017.
On the eve of the March 20 meeting, Prokhorov wrote that Kara-Murza * “looked very bad”. On March 28, the politician was present in court in person.
Kara-Murza* has been in a remand center since April 2022 for spreading “fake news” about the military due to a speech in the Arziona House of Representatives. Later, he was charged with participation in the activities of an unwanted organization and treason. According to investigators, Kara-Murza * “for many years” provided organizations in NATO member countries with “assistance directed against the security of Russia”. Prokhorov reported that Kara-Murza* had been charged with treason because of criticism of Russian authorities in public speeches in Lisbon, Helsinki and Washington.
