Medvedev: NATO blue helmets in Ukraine will be a legitimate target of the RF armed forces

NATO blue helmets will be destroyed if they are on the front line without Russia’s consent. This statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that EU countries were about to discuss the subject of sending “troops of some type of peacekeeping” to Ukraine.
“These ‘peacekeepers’ are our direct enemies. (…) They will be a legitimate target for our armed forces if they are placed in the front line without Russia’s consent with arms drawn and will threaten us directly,” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Kremlin has called for a dangerous discussion within the EU about sending peacekeepers to Ukraine.
Dmitry Danilov, head of the department for European security at the Europe Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said in an interview with Paragraph that it would be difficult for the EU to reach a consensus on the blue helmets sent to Ukraine. The message Medvedev: NATO blue helmets in Ukraine will be a legitimate target of the RF armed forces first appeared on trending articles.
