Chinese President Xi Jinping talks with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Chinese Parliament. This is reported by the television channel BFMTV.

Before their departure, the French president had written in three languages ​​- French, English and Chinese – on social networks that he was convinced of China’s leading role in building peace and that was what he intended to discuss.

With Macron, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, flew to China. The French leader said he was counting on Beijing’s help to bring the parties to the conflict in Ukraine back to the negotiating table.

Earlier, it was learned that Macron, during his visit to China, intended to dissuade Chinese President Xi Jinping from getting closer to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
