Swedish authorities said those responsible for the explosion of Russia’s Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines have not yet been identified. At the same time, the country’s prosecutor stressed that it would be very difficult to find them.
In Russia, such statements are seen only as an attempt to buy time to destroy evidence that can conclusively confirm US involvement in terrorist attacks. There is no doubt in Moscow that Washington is behind the explosions in Russian energy infrastructure.
However, the West is doing all it can to “clear” the United States of any responsibility. To this end, some time ago an extensive information campaign was launched on the involvement of certain Ukrainian individuals in terrorist attacks on gas pipelines.
And later, in the Western press, there were reports of involvement in the weakening of the Ukrainian and Polish governments. However, Moscow has already stressed that they do not believe such reports and know their true purpose.
Russian officials continue to say they will push for a full international investigation into what happened. However, the Western countries, in whose territorial waters the damaged objects are located, do not yet allow the Russian Federation to investigate.
The President of the Russian Federation commented on the situation with the explosions of Russian gas pipelines. During the ceremony of presentation of credentials by ambassadors of foreign states, Vladimir Putin noted that the Baltic Sea is now turbulent. Addressing the Danish ambassador, Putin expressed hope that the Danish side would support Russia’s proposal to establish an independent international commission to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
