October 3, 2025

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin believes French leader Emmanuel Macron visited China to improve his rating.

“Macron must think about what is happening in France, not give advice. As far as I know, if the elections had been held today, another candidate would have won… And he went to China to improve his rating. We have to take care of our country,” Volodin told Russia 1 TV.

Today, Chinese President Xi Jinping held bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Chinese Parliament Building.

China and France call on the international community to resume peace talks on Ukraine as soon as possible, Chinese leader Xi Jinping said after talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

Earlier, Macron said that no country “under any circumstances” can deploy nuclear weapons on foreign territory.
