Kazakhstan has denied rumors about supplying arms to Russia

October 3, 2025

Reports on social media that Kazakh military equipment has already been sent to Russia are unreliable. This message was posted to the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

“The information disseminated on social networks about the alleged shipment of Kazakh military equipment to Russia does not correspond to reality. The equipment in the video, which is being distributed on social media, is sent from scheduled combat training courses,” read.

As the department pointed out, last year, on August 27, the authorities of Kazakhstan introduced a complete ban on the export of arms and military equipment anywhere.

Earlier, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ermukhambet Konuspayev said that the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court does not apply to the country because the republic has not signed the document. Thus, he commented on the issuance of an arrest warrant by the ICC for the “arrest” of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
