Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

NYT: Leak of U.S. intelligence on Ukraine ruined relations with allies

Newspaper source in Western intelligence agencies warns of backlash over leak

Leak of US classified documents on the Internet provoked

the emergence of tensions with the allies. These conclusions were drawn by reporters from the New York Times, who analyzed some of the classified documents.

According to the newspaper’s source in Western intelligence, the leak could reduce the exchange of intelligence information with allies. The fact is that the latest publication showed that surveillance was being carried out on them, in particular, they spied on the leadership of Ukraine. This is due to Washington’s desire to clearly understand Kiev’s “combat strategy”. The White House is also concerned that the Kremlin may be able to determine through which channels the United States collects data on Moscow’s plans. And one of the senior American officials is convinced that the leak will help Russia find out “how deep American intelligence agents have managed to penetrate the Russian military apparatus”.

More than a hundred pages of classified documents “leaked” on the network this week. Among the first to be published were Ukrainian counter-offensive plans. Later, secret documents on the Middle East and China were released.
