Protesters riot in Paris after the Constitutional Council approves pension reform
In the capital of France, Paris, mass protests have started against the approval of the pension reform. Previously, the French Constitutional Council had adopted a pension reform.
From now on, President Emmanuel Macron should soon sign a decree on pension reform. The Constitutional Council also rejected clauses on special labor rights for retirees.
Protesters are already gathering at the town hall of the French capital. Clashes with police may escalate particularly violently after today’s announcement that the country’s Constitutional Council has recognized the pension reform
