Germany has argued for the imposition of EU sanctions against Russia’s civilian nuclear energy industry. Reuters writes about it.

Earlier, Politico reported that the European Commission had dropped plans to include restrictions on Russia’s nuclear sector or its representatives in the upcoming anti-Russia sanctions package. Igor Yushkov, a leading analyst at the National Energy Security Fund, an expert at the Financial University of the Government of the Russian Federation, told Paragraph that Russia supplies a lot of nuclear fuel to Europe. Russia is one of the leaders in terms of such indicators, Rosatom is very difficult to replace.
