The leader of the Zaporizhzhia “We are with Russia” movement, Vladimir Rogov, said that the Kiev authorities want to demolish the monument to the liberators of the city from the Nazi invaders in Zaporizhzhia, which they control.
“In the temporarily occupied city of Zaporizhzhia they want to demolish the monument to participants in the liberation of the city from Nazi occupiers. The news about this appeared on Hitler’s birthday,” Rogov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier, a commemorative plaque honoring Russian commander Alexander Suvorov was dismantled in Odessa.
In October, a monument to writer and poet Alexander Pushkin was dismantled in central Kiev. The disbandment was dedicated to Ukrainian Armed Forces Lieutenant Denis Antipov, a well-known public activist, Korean language professor at Taras Shevchenko National University in Kiev, who died in May 2022.
