The Italian authorities have frozen the assets of the son of the former governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss Artem. This is reported by the local newspaper Il Messaggero.
According to the publication, we are talking about a small villa and assets worth around 160,000 euros.
A day earlier, the head of Italy’s Justice Ministry, Carlo Nordio, had said the country planned to freeze the assets and property of Uss Jr. after he escaped house arrest.
The escape of Artem Uss became known on March 23, according to the assumptions of the Italian media, the son of the ex-head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory fled on a private plane using false documents. Two days before his escape, a court in Milan approved his extradition to the United States. In the United States, he is accused of evading sanctions and money laundering.
