Qatar distributes nearly 7,000 food baskets to Yemenis on Eid

The Qatar Red Crescent office in Yemen, in partnership with its counterpart, the Yemeni Red Crescent, distributed 6,872 food baskets for the benefit of 48,104 beneficiaries in six Yemeni governorates, through two projects: Iftar fasting and the food basket, as part of a campaign "Humanity first… your generosity is benevolence".

In cooperation with the Yemeni Red Crescent, 3,472 food baskets were distributed equally between the governorates of Ma’rib and Al-Hodeidah. Each basket contains 60 kg of basic foodstuffs that meet the nutritional needs of beneficiary families for a month.

It is worth noting that, in conjunction with the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, the food basket project was launched for the benefit of 24,304 beneficiaries, by the Qatar Red Crescent office in Yemen to help the displaced, the most vulnerable families and widows, in the governorates of Marib and Al-Hodeidah.
