Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said a world war could still be avoided. He said this in a conversation with the participants of the knowledge marathon.
According to Medvedev, today’s world is in a state of disease, and possibly on the brink of a new world war.
“Is it inevitable? No, it is not,” noted the Vice President of the Security Council.
Dmitry Medvedev noted that empires never crumble like this, without subsequent wars. According to him, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, a major conflict was avoided for almost 30 years.
Earlier, Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov spoke at the Knowledge Marathon. He called NATO an instrument of war.
