PM Modi will inaugurate medical college in Silvassa, road show in Daman.

Daman. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu on Tuesday, during which he will inaugurate a medical college in Silvassa town and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth Rs 4,800 crore. Government officials gave this information.

Later in the evening, the prime minister will hold a 16-km roadshow in Daman city of the union territory, they said. According to the program list revealed by the officials, Modi will be on Tuesday to inaugurate the centrally funded ‘NAMO Institute of Medical Education and Research’. Will reach Silvassa, the capital of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

The only medical college in the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, it has become a beacon of hope and a symbol of growing aspirations for the people of the region, where nearly 40 per cent of the population is tribal. The medical college has a multi-storeyed library, four lecture halls Academic block with auditorium and modern facilities like an auditorium, club house, residence for teachers and hostel for students.

Officials said that after visiting the newly constructed medical college, Prime Minister Modi will address a gathering at Sayali village near Silvassa. From here he will inaugurate or lay the foundation stone of various projects for the entire Union Territory. In all, he will launch projects worth Rs 4,804.64 crore. In the evening, Modi will travel to the Union Territory’s Daman city where he will lead a 16-km roadshow that will pass through the beach front which has been developed recently.
